Analysis of the match between SC Freiburg and FC Bayern München
Before the FIFA Days break, both Bayern Munich and Freiburg managed to build positive momentum by defeating Union Berlin and St. Pauli respectively. However, when looking at the broader picture of the current 2025/26 Bundesliga standings, the difference in status between the two sides is quite clear.
Bayern Munich remain firmly at the top of the table with 70 points, holding a nine-point lead over second-placed Dortmund. Not only are Bayern superior in current form, but they also hold a clear edge in the head-to-head record. In the last 10 meetings between the two sides, the Bavarian outfit have won eight, drawn one, and lost only one against Freiburg. Even more impressively, Bayern are unbeaten in their last nine away matches against Freiburg, recording six wins and three draws.
With their superior quality, consistent form, and dominant head-to-head record, Bayern clearly hold many advantages heading into this match and are well-positioned to secure another victory. If they perform to their true level, all three points should be well within reach for Vincent Kompany’s men on this trip.
